    1. I picked this up for free on .Hands up if you saw this title and started singing Rick Springfields "Jessie's girl!?"Cos I sure as shit did LOL Ok anyway This starts out with a Prologue. You read it but it doesn't make that much sense (well to me it didn't) until later in the book. Samantha is a Daddy's girl, after talking to him on the phone she can tell something is not right. She decides to come home for the summer, instead of staying at school like she planned. She wants to try and make a rel [...]

    2. Returning home wasn’t a mater of choice for Samantha when she decided to take her summer break – it was more a matter of necessity, she had matters that needed airing and matters that needed some resolution and it was high time she sorted them out.Coming home for Sam is a bag of mixed blessings, she was dying to see her father who was literally the only bright spark left in her life from her home town of Portland. Her mother on the other hand is another mess of fish that she knows she has to [...]

    3. 3 and a half Stars. This was an interesting tale of a love-triangle. I would have liked more development of the love relationships as events seemed to move along rather quickly. I did, however like the characters though I thought perhaps one of the brothers could have fought harder for the girl. The ending was rather abrupt which makes me wonder if there will be a sequel. I'd definitely like to read that. Overall, I enjoyed this novel.

    4. First thing off the bat, I don`t know who the man holding the blonde woman on this cover is but I find him very compelling and blessed with biceps that beg to be caressed. I just had to get that off my chest because I can`t seem to tear my eyes away from him.Book coverMoving on, lest I forget to write my review and continue to stare, this time around we`re chatting about the novel Jesse`s Brother written by Wendy Ely.Jesse`s Brother is a nicely penned romance that kept me very entertained. The s [...]

    5. Now lets get to my review of Wendy's debut novel Jesse's Brother which I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy before it's release date. This novel starts with the heroine, Samantha, who is sacrificing a summer to fix her relationship with her mother and find out what’s troubling her father as well isn’t so bad an idearight? Wrong or so Samantha learns upon her return to Portland and finding that things haven't changed one bit between her and her mother. As if family drama wasn’t bad en [...]

    6. Not very often do I feel like I've totally wasted my time with a book But I sure feel that way with this one. A lot of people don't like the insta-love prevalent in romance books, but I actually do. But the insta-love (for 2 different men who turn out to be brothers) in this one was just stupid. I think because the chemistry was really non-existent in both cases, in just made the whole thing eye-roll worthy. Beyond that, characters were not well developed and I could see no motivation for anythi [...]

    7. A review of Jesse's Brother by Wendy ElyI do love romance and I adore complex love triangles. This book does have that and it even has loads of spice. What was missing for me though was descriptive text to draw me further into this interesting world. I do admit that maybe I am not the target reader for this book - I prefer language in the books I read to be emotive, the scene to be set - the book is more to the point and very focused on the romantic conflict. If you like your reads to the point, [...]

    8. Loved this book! Loved the chemistry between Samantha and Noah! Do wonder what happened with Jesse though. Can't wait to read the next book when it come out. Wendy Ely did a great job with this book. the emotions are there to feel. Definitely one of my favorite authors. Looking forward to reading more of her books. and also the book that is to come after this one. Something my friends and I will be talking about as soon as they read it as well!

    9. Home from college for the summer on her family's farm she fall for two brother who are estranged she had to chose

    10. Cute story, not too long. did expect a little more sparks flying around, more chemistry, more heartbeatingly `passionate scnes, but,. it came a bit short.

    11. I hardly know where to start. I read the first 3 chapters then skimmed a few more before abandoning this novel. It is probably the most obviously plotted book I've ever "read." The reader is beat over the head with the fact that the main character and her mother don't get along. The characters are all cardboard stereotypes, the dialogue is mechanical, and the writing style is very adolescent. The general plot has a lot of potential that remains unrealized. This was the tenth and last novel in th [...]

    12. I received this book for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.I gave Jesse's brother 3 stars and here's the reason why:I was really excited to read Jesse's brother by Wendy Ely because the plot line sounded amazing and it didn't disappoint, I love the whole 'who is she going to pick' drama that you get with a love triangle but I felt that it was a little rushed! Some things didn't make sense the characters weren't as relatable as they could've been and I wanted more depth!Noah and [...]

    13. Given a copy of the book from the author in return for honest review***Guest Review From Amy Conley For The Nerd Girl Page***Samantha is a college student returning home for the summer to try and repair the relationship between her and her mother. She never planned on falling in love but that's exactly what happens only it's with two guys who she soon finds out their brothers!! Samantha has to choose between the two and figure out which guy she loves the most and could spend forever with. My Rev [...]

    14. I gave this three stars but it is more a three and a half, I really liked the premise of the story. Samantha comes home from college for summer to try and set things straight with her overbearing and over controlling mother. Once back on the family ranch she meets Noah Coombs her fathers new ranch hand; a relationship starts between the two of them , but not soon after this she meets another man Jesse in town who also wants to date her.Samantha spends a good amount of her summer dating both men [...]

    15. 2.5 stars for me. Could have been a good book. It was a little short for my taste but that aside.Samantha comes home from college and meets Noah who is working on her family's farm. Naturally she is drawn to him. At the same time she meets Jesse at a coffee shop. Each of the men have their own unique qualities that she really likes about them. She finally decides on Noah and goes out with Jesse to tell him. She sees pictures of Noah and realizes they are brothers. The triangle comes out and ever [...]

    16. I really did like this book! I thought the character's were great but I felt like the story line just fell a little short - I thought that the content in the book was a great story line, I just went it went into a little bit more detail! I loved Samantha and Noah! Frances really got under my skin and I felt for Samantha, I wish we got to read a little bit more about their relationship and the ups/downs of it. Samantha's father seemed like a sweet heart but again, I just wish we got to see more o [...]

    17. I received a copy of this book to review. I like the basis of the story, you have a girl called Samantha who is on her summer break at her parents farm. Upon her return she meets her dads new employee Noah - they have an instant attraction. She goes into the town and meets another man called Jesse - they also have an instant attraction. You then read about her flitting between the two whilst deciding to pick the one she likes the most until she makes a discovery which seems to quicken her decision [...]

    18. The main character is a young lady who is conflicted going after what she wants without the support of her mother. No matter what she does it seems it is never good enough for mom. She returns home because she has a bond with her father that despite having to deal with her mom it is worth being there. While there she finds love in two unexpected places. That not being hard enough decision to make she finds another twist that complicates love and her decision even more. This book had great charac [...]

    19. 133pgs, contemporary, One woman, two men: a single summer to choose between them. Sacrificing a summer to fix her relationship with her mother and find out what 19s troubling her father isn 19t so badright? Wrong. Or so Samantha learns upon her return to Portland. As if family drama wasn 19t bad enough, first comes Noah. Then comes Jesse. Samantha is torn between the way her heart skips a beat each time Noah looks at her, and the way Jesse 19s touch make her yearn for more.

    20. This is the first I read by Wendy Ely. I really didn't like how Samantha's mother treated her & Noah. I didn't like Jesse or his attitude. I liked how Samantha's friend helped her make her decision. I felt sad for what happened to Samantha's mother. I loved the ending of the story. I would read more books by Ms Ely.

    21. not really sure how I feel about this one. the ending was so abrupt it was just weird. Like one minute your in the middle of a turning point conversation and the next it's just over. Done. Weird. Also, the story itself was a little jumbled at points and I was left confused and needing more info. I guess I was just never really pulled all the way into the story.

    22. I loved the overall story it was riveting and intriguing. The ending just killed it because there wasn't any. It was like here is the period the end. I wish the author would continue it or give the story a proper ending

    23. Sorry, i'll have to write the review later, been busy and havent had the time to write any reviews :( I fill really bad about it too

    24. Well written , even if it was a little predictable . Loved the characters with the exception of the mother .
