This is a very entertaining installment in the Profiler series. In this one Evelyn finds herself in a hostage situation at a survivalist compound. The first half is about her time as a hostage and the second half is about her race to find her captor before he carries out his overall agenda.I found both equally exciting. Elizabeth Heiter gives us yet another intense reading experience in Seized. I love the chemistry that is created by Evelyn Baine with whomever she encounters. There are so many relationships that are developed in this book which cause her to question her skills as a profiler. This ending was just a tad bit rushed, but still good all the same. So good though, keeps you guessing for a majority of the book. One of the best things about this series (besides the fact that it's like reading an episode of Criminal Minds) is these books stand alone pretty well. You don't necessarily have to read them in order to get the whole story. Hopefully she writes more, but doesn't over do it.

WOW, hold on to your hats. This is a fast moving story. Elizabeth Heiter has once again given the reader a wild ride, that keeps you turning the pages till the end . Evelyn is a wonderful character and you just want to root her on. Great plot and very intense which only spurs your interest for the next book in the series. If I wasn't a fan before this book would have nailed that down. Make sure you have time to sit and read because you won't want to put it down once you start.

Elizabeth Heiter's books are getting better and better! I loved The Hunted, Vanished was good too but Seized?? Oh man! I started reading this last night, thinking I would just get about 10 percent in and find a good stopping place. NO SUCH THING. Although I enjoyed this book, it is probably my least favorite in this series. For some reason, the character of Evelyn was more annoying than she needed to be. In the previous books, Evelyn was such a strong character and this time she seemed sporadic, doubting herself at every turn but then ignoring orders from her bosses. Love this series! Loved the thrilling rollar coaster of a ride the author takes you on from the first page. This book was not my favorite of the series only because there was not alot of profiling but more of Evelyn being locked away in a compound. A great thrilling book and still another great book in the series.

I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. Yet again Elizabeth has Evelyn Baine as a strong yet flawed female heroine involved in finding and putting away those who have done her and the country wrong. A suspenseful and intriguing storyline that holds you captivated until you are done reading the book. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.

Heiter is back with another book full of twists. I really enjoy the Profiler series, and I think part of my love comes from watching Criminal Minds. I look forward to reading more about Evelyn in future installments!

Another great story in the series. Still not as much development on Evelyn and Kyle's relationship but I did enjoy the investigation side of the story. I hope the author decides to write another book to this series.

I understand this is the 3rd book in a series, but I had no problem enjoying it as a stand alone story. The suspense and action moved at a good pace and the heroine, Evelyn, was an intriguing character. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to any reader of suspense.

Reading this installment of Heiter's Profiler series is a lesson in writing: you may have an extremely compelling story line but if you tell the reader about that story line instead of showing the reader all of the cool twists and reveals, and then passport most of the character development, well, the compelling story line is shot all to hell. I had read Ms. Heiter's other book Vanished and it was pretty good but this book really fell flat. The worst part of the book is the main character, Evelyn Baine. I just couldn't believe that a FBI profiler had so many issues and was more interested in herself than the case the was on. Evelyn was not a well developed character and you would think after two previous books she would have learned from her mistakes and grown up. Not so.
