    1. Book Reviewed by Stacey on whisperingstoriesThe ‘J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World: Movie Magic’ comes in three volumes, and each book includes details of all eight films and also Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The first volume is all about Extraordinary People and Fascinating Places. Throughout the book there is information about the different characters from the movies and items that belong to them. The first part of the book is dedicated to Fantastic Beasts and opens with Newt Scam [...]

    3. This book is full of fascinating and funny facts! It's great to see Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter combined like this, and the removable items make for a fun extra. Especially enjoyable was the actors' take on their role.

    4. What a fun book! Why did Professor Lockhart get two pages when Professor Snape only get one? Snape was much more important to the story line. Wasn't he?Overall, this book is wonderful. It could be bigger, though. Most Potter fans would be willing to buy a much more detailed version of this book.

    5. Actual Rating: 3.5 StarsWhat I liked about the book was reading about how some of the settings were made and all the details they made in making of the movie. You got to see how they made certain things happen, like the Scene where Harry made Aunt Marge blow up! (They used makeup and inflatable suits.) I would have liked to seen more about Severus Snape and Luna Lovegood.

    6. My little brother Michael got me this for Christmas and he was so excited for me to open it. I LOVE IT! I mean it's Harry Potter of course, but there's also really fun and cute little flaps you can open and pockets with fun papers. It's also really fun because it solely talks about the films and how it al came together. I think we forget how much work was actually put into the HP films. And there's so much detail! I would definitely recommend all HP fans buy this as a fun collectible item.

    7. I almost pre-ordered this book, but seeing it advertised as for 'young fans', decided against it. Then I spotted it in Wh Smiths, had a look through and fell in love! The beginning has lots of fabulous information from Fantastic Beasts, and the rest is Harry Potter. There are great posters, props and pop-up sections that make it really interactive and fun to read. There's even some stickers that I have already put to good use! Definitely not just for youngsters, I'm 23 and absolutely adore it!

    8. I flipped through this book in about an hour and I absolutely loved every minute of it! The amount of flaps, stickers, and other goodies inside this book is fantastic and makes it so much fun to read! It is also a really great way to learn more about the Wizarding World and how it was visually created. 10/10 would recommend for any Harry Potter fan!

    9. Another interesting Wizarding World collectible with cool stuff such as behind scenes, pull out stuff and cool magical info! Added this to my Harry Potter self so of course i gave this 5 stars.

    10. This is an amazing book that’s just perfect for Harry Potter fans! This hardback is around A4 in size although wider and is beautifully embossed with shiny gold details and glossy images on both the front and back cover. Inside are thick glossy, and heavy, pages filled with colourful pictures and lots of little things to pull out and look at.‘Extraordinary People and Fascinating Places’ is the first book in the ‘J. K. Rowling’s Wizarding World Movie Magic’ series and is all about the [...]

    11. I think you'll agree with me when I say, that to be a Potter fan requires an understanding that everything Potter related is Gold - there is no such thing as a rubbish Wizarding World related book because it's so massive I don't think even the most die-hard fans will ever truly know all the ins and outs. Well, maybe you will, after reading the three books which make up the Movie Magic Collection. Volume One which you're now perusing takes a look at "People and Places" from not only Harry Potter [...]

    12. This book was a wonderfully illustrated, and written, backstage pass into the making of Harry Potter. It covered material from Fantastic Beasts and Where to find Them, and the Harry Potter Film series. Characters, settings and creatures from the films were discussed and analyzed. We learned things like what went into their costumes, how their wands were crafted to fit the character, the digital effects that went into creating creatures and settings and so much more. Each page about a character o [...]

    13. For a potterhead this is a most have book, i did struggle with myself if i should buy it or not but at the end i could not resist. These collections of books shows the magic of turning the Harry Potter Universe into movies and this one is all about Extraordinary People and Fascinating Places. The images and photos are just gorgeous and we get also many little facts and curiosities. One fact i really like about this book is that the first few chapters are about Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find [...]

    14. Jody Revenson has published a multitude of books on the Harry Potter film series, but even though this one is meant to act as a compilation of many of them its result is less than I expected. The strength of the other books is that they focus on a single subject and take ample time to explore various ideas, themes, and topics, but with Volume One of the “movie magic” set the author and designers attempt to cover all of the various aspects of the film in brief. If readers haven’t had a chan [...]

    15. The topic of this book revolves around the magical world of Harry Potter, except it's all about the films! This book explains in detail about how the Harry Potter movies (with another film: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) come to be, how they tried to transform the books to movies, and how they designed the characters, scenes, and everything! I personally liked this book not only because I was interested in things related to Harry Potter, but also because I could learn about the designs [...]

    16. This is exactly the book I was hoping for. Just like Newt Scamander's scrap book, it has beautiful original artwork and fun physical things to pull out and look at. This also has really wonderful additions like a full view of the Black's family tree and even a copy of the letter Lily Potter wrote to Sirius when Harry was still a baby. I can't wait for volume two.

    17. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a sucker for books like this. All the juicy tidbits about the making of the movies and characters, plus unique little items throughout the book that help bring the movie to life. But they have out done the extras by including two pages of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them stickers, as well as prop posters and post cards. Many worth framing. Truly excellent.

    18. Part one was about Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which was a lot of information I didn't know beforehand because I haven't really done any research into the films. Part two was about the Harry Potter films and there wasn't really any new information. The book was still great though! It's always lovely to get a bit of the Wizarding World into you life :)

    19. For any Potter fan this is a must read. Such wonderful little details about the movies and how set designs went together, inspirations, etc. There's so much to read and see in this book that you won't want to miss out on reading it.

    20. I enjoyed this book. Didn't really want as much about Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. There was a part I of book for Fantastic Beasts and Part II of book for Harry Potter. It was good, preferred if they stayed with the 7 main Harry Potter books and movies.

    21. Ce livre est d'une beauté ! Il nous apprend des petits détails sur la saga Harry Potter et sur les "Animaux Fantastiques", c'est génial ! Et les artefacts sont incroyables ! Je suis complètement fan !

    22. Great book explaining how special effects, characters' costumes, and other aspects of the "Harry Potter" and "Fantastic Beasts" films were created. The book could have had more material in it, though. However, the stickers, masquerade masks, and pull-out leaflets and documents were neat.

    23. Brings back the nostalgia of watching the films. Wonderful, informative, magical, and oh so fun. I really want to marathon the movie now. Super amazing and would recommend.

    24. I loved reading about how all the costumes were designed a made, from colors to styles, and also how each figured into the characters.

    25. Fantastic book, details on all the characters and some places. Love all the pull outs/posters/leaflets.A must for any Harry Potter collection.
