A pregnancy & birth book that finally looks at the forgotten side of birth- the inner self, and the journey a birthing person takes from first hearing the "Call" of pregnancy, to the "Return" of postpartum. The *only* quibble I have with this book is the 'ultrasounds & autism' portion- I think it needlessly stokes autism fears, and while there is some research on ultrasound's relationship to autism, it slips around the "Correlation is not Causation" detail.     2. Oh, how I have savored this book. Everything I loved about Birthing From Within, revised, expanded, and broadened. The breadth of topics presented with Pam England's signature combination of information, story, anecdote, inspiration, and art makes for a thoroughly enjoyable read for the parent-to-be or the experienced birth professional.
