    1. St Catherine's letters, prayers, and Dialogue with God will knock your socks off and give you a challenge to be holier, images of who God is, and most beautifully - you will be able to read God's words directly spoken to St Catherine. She is one of the greatest saints in the Church and just like any good Saint, she sheds light on how we ought to be as Catholics (i.e. not judging, knowing ourselves, loving others and in so doing loving Christ, and giving images and hope for the joys of heaven). 2. This is my random selection. I'm writing a paper about Catherine of Siena right now (actually I'm putting it off right now) and I am impressed by how much I appreciate this Saint. Her prayers especially have a way of drawing me in so that her words become my words and I cannot just read to gain information, but my reading becomes prayer. It's beautiful imagery as well God is: fire; a peaceful sea; a person drunk on love; boundless light etc. Beautiful.

    3. Selected writings of St. Catherine of Siena. I was more interested in the Letters. I skipped the prayers-- just not my thing. I thought the Dialogue had some good insight. It's a good introduction to St. Catherine of Siena, just nothing really spellbinding.

    4. Quick introduction to the theology of S. Catherine, through extracts from her letters and prayers and from her dialogue with God. Good for a four star, especially when there appears an extract from a long letter to politicians and timid popes. Gentle Jesus, Jesus love.
